Strong, Frank Swinnerton and Rebecca West.The original box is an uncommon survival and has preserved the book well.

FIRST EDITION, 35/250 COPIES printed on special paper and signed by the contributors, pp. 398, crown 8vo, original green pebbled skiver, decorations to upper board and backstrip stamped in gilt, the latter with lettering in same, touch of rubbing at extremities, a.e.g., green page-marker, marbled endpapers, bookplate to front pastedown (the E.M. Delafield collection of Robert Milnes), Fothergill's Times obituary laid in at rear, the original box of dark green card, label to lid carrying title and copy number, this a little rubbed and slightly split along one edge, very good
