An early play by Mackintosh, preceding the use of the pseudonym, 'Josephine Tey', for which she became best-known; it was produced by John Gielgud, who had been the lead in her debut, 'Richard of Bordeaux' - the cast here including Laurence Olivier and James Mason, as well as Gwen Ffrangon-Davies in the title-role.
