Two pieces of artwork by Ezra Pound's wife, the painting a more finished work - the sheet was presented to poet Michael Alexander in the 1960s, as per his note in the corner of the pencil drawing.Alexander had first visited Pound in 1962, to ask if he would accept the dedication of his translations of 'The Earliest English Poems', and was a regular visitor (in Rapallo and Venice) over the following decade.
