Rare Book
A scarce book, her debut; this copy with a 3pp. autograph letter (dated March 1984) from the author laid in, signed and headed as Ursula Vaughan Williams - she married the composer Ralph Vaughan Williams in 1953. The letter, to a Mrs Stevens, referring to her later work (in part, its commercial failure), but ending with the report that 'things are looking up'; she mentions having worked a great deal with composers, and jokes that 'I shall soon take metastasis as my middle name'.
