Scarce in the dustjacket; early, satirical work by Wolfe, aimed at literary targets - sometimes in imitation (John Masefield and Walter de la Mare are made to trade verses on one another, similarly W.B. Yeats and W.H. Davies), often in the form of (premature) epitaphs. Chesterton is twice lampooned, one of these is repeated pointedly on the dustjacket - this referring to his antisemitism, also discussed in Wolfe's 'Preface', and the basis for Wolfe's earlier volume 'Shylock Reasons with Mr. Chesterton' (1920).
