Bookseller Notes

The second of Turner's autobiographical humorous fantasy novels, this recounting 'the extraordinary things that happened to Henry Airbubble during and after the Great War' (p. 303) and sporting - like its predecessor - a marvellous Edward Bawden dustjacket; at its close, a third volume is suggested, but never materialised - the fact of both of its initial instalments lapsing into 'cheap editions', their prices lowered presumably on account of poor sales, presumably extinguished that possibility.

Description
