The Children have arrived. Everyone in the know is searching for them. The Apalacheela, and the humans working with them, want only to keep them safe and allow them to grow into their power, in their own time and in their own way. The first Child, Samuel Eli Jackson, is-for now-safely ensconced in a cottage on the edge of the Motherland. The second Child, Daniela Esperanza, is currently parentless, and being raised by an elderly retired nun in the heart of Cutter City, which is the Killapaka domain. It is also the headquarters of Boner's America First, Last, and In-Between Militia, legally organized under the name, "The Unidentified and Incognito P Company, LLC (aka "The Pee Company"). The Pee Company is composed of rabid white nationalists who are working in conjunction with ACID (Alien Custom and Immigration Detainment), a subcontractor of ICE. The Pee Company (which is based in Primp Tower) has already "disappeared" Dani's parents, and the color of the little girl's skin has put a target on her back. Not to mention that there are so many daily mass shootings in Cutter City that the events rarely get news coverage, any longer.
There is hope. A very small group of gun-less people are hoping to snatch Dani from under the nose of the powerful Kills and General Rex Boner, the Pee Company leader.
