Bookseller Notes

The first edition of the selected Laudian Statutes, compiled by Thomas Crossfield, was published in 1638 as Statuta selecta corpore statutorum Universitatis Oxon, and was then printed on demand, as it were, until the mid-19th century. 'Parecbolae' came in in 1671, this being the third edition with this title. The appendix contains the Bodleian Library Statutes of 1620, the Epinomis or explanation of the Oath to observe the Statues, the cycle of Proctors 1629-1720, and the all-important Thirty Nine Articles.
