This book brings together 51 poems that were originally written between 1941 and 1996, with them the author conveys her love for nature and her high environmental sensitivity. They are short poems, which although they were inspired and written for children, are also a wonderful read for young people and adults of any age, thanks to the simple style to describe characteristics of animals, their behavior, their relationships and their functions in nature. Each poem is accompanied by a beautiful color illustration by watercolor artist Trina C. González-Fernández, who is one of the daughters of the author of the poems and, therefore, she is one of those first children who were raised under the influence of that environmentalist atmosphere...
