Publisher's Synopsis
Zombies R A Problem invites the reader into an imaginative poetic excursion through a Zombie Apocalypse, only with a twist. We're not talking real zombies, only metaphorical ones. Like zombies, these are the ones who can never get enough. Zombie brains don't work. They can't think so they just consume. The more they get the more they want.
The insidious virus at the center of the Apocalypse, "affluenza," perpetually perpetuates a feeling of "never enough..." Zombies appear to be full, but they are really empty. What a zombie "puts in" doesn't really satisfy and never lasts very long!
Especially targeted for a teenage audience, who are just beginning to think about such things and deal with important moral and ethical questions about the decisions and the choices they will make in the world, the author asks them to consider a question: "Is there anything more to life than consuming, acquiring and eating? What will really satisfy you?" Meant to stimulate deeper conversations and critical thinking about the cultural biases and influences that we and our children face, ZRAP can bring a lighthearted, yet serious, quality to our conversations as we consider what in the "apocalypse" is actually going on!
Have you seen any zombies, or EXPERIENCED zombification yourself? Lately?
