Two teenage boys, Matthew and Demas, find themselves suddenly thrust into a world of swords and sorcery, warriors and monsters, and exciting adventures through an unknown land. While playing in the woods one autumn day, they see a boy their age confronted by dark horsemen led by the evil captain Ketophel. That's when Zeriah, a beautiful and strong warrior, a Zaraphos, appears and tells Matthew and Demas that they are in the middle of a war between the powers of Dark and Light in the land of Sombra-Luz. Matthew learns to wield the sword of Light and Demas trains as a Qodesh, one who uses the power of blessing and cursing. The warriors battle Bones and illgots, fight morahs and Anakim, and face against the sinister Ketophel all to save Sombra-Luz from the Dark Towers and their web of evil.
