His wonderful Lincoln library, which was sold at auction some few years ago, was pronounced-as the largest collection of printed material regarding Abraham Lincoln that has ever been offered for sale. He was an enthusiastic admirer of Lincoln, a lecturer on Lincoln's life and character.
