Publisher's Synopsis
At the heart of this text is the desire for students to become active and engaged citizens through writing, reflection, reflexivity and reading. Challenging, proactive readings push students to analyze and understand how their personal ideologies arise out of and relate to the larger culture. Assorted writing assignments present opportunities for writing with different rhetorical purposes.
