Workshop Calculus: Guided Exploration with Review integrates a review of basic pre-calculus concepts with the study of concepts encountered in a traditional first semester calculus course - functions, limits, derivatives, integrals, and an introduction to integration techniques. This two-course sequence is designed for students who are not prepared to enter Calculus I, but who need to develop mathematical skills for further study in the social sciences, natural sciences, or mathematics. The primary goal of the course is to help students develop firm conceptual understandings of the fundamental ideas in calculus, thereby enabling them to use calculus in other disciplines.
