The organization of the combined Workbook/Lab Manual parallels that of the main text. The four skills are practiced extensively. The Lab Manual and audio program contain additional pronunciation practice, exercises that reinforce the structures introduced in each chapter, and scripted and semi-authentic recordings that challenge students to move beyond the in-text Gespräche. A wealth of written exercises and activities in the workbook support those of the main text and help to personalize even further the materials and activities for the students. Every chapter includes new readings and tasks to accompany them. The Kultur and Erweiterung sections of the Workbook expand on the themes and structures introduced in each chapter.
