The "Wolf Hill: Talking Stories: CD-ROM" features the Wolf Hill characters in the 6 original Level 1 stories with thought-provoking multiple choice comprehension activities at the end of each chapter. Each page of the Wolf Hill stories is presented on screen and the story can be heard read aloud, or paragraph by paragraph by clicking on the audio button. There is a pause button to stop the text at any time. In addition, thought bubbles can be clicked on to reveal more of what the characters are thinking, so helping inferential comprehension, and animation and sound effects are included where there is exciting action to enhance. At the end of each of the chapters there are 4 or 5 comprehension questions that help to reinforce the understanding of the chapter. There is also a wider, open-ended question at the end of the book, which should encourage group discussion and help children to relate the overarching theme to their own experiences, and empathise with individual characters or actions.;"Level 1: Stories" includes: the CD-ROM comprise talking book versions of the 6 Wolf Hill stories at Level 1: "The Hole in the Ground"; "The Flying Armchair"; "Hidden Gold"; "I Hate Computers"; "Toxic Waste"; and "The Night it Rained Chips".
