As a hospice social worker and chaplain it was my privilege to walk with individuals and family members in the valley of the shadow of death and to help them, to the extent I could, to prepare for the end of life. The intent of this book is twofold. First to encourage everyone to put their faith in Jesus Christ as the Great Shepherd. Secondly, to encourage everyone in the valley of the shadow of death, or any deep valley, to walk through the valley focused on the Great Shepherd allowing Him to lead you through that valley. Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico Harold graduated from Highland High School. Harold graduated from Howard Payne College and Southwestern Seminary. Harold has served as an Army chaplain, prison chaplain, pastor, church planter and hospice social worker/chaplain. He met and married Jo Parker in Phoenix. They have been married 46 years and have 3 married children and 7 grandchildren. Harold and Jo are retired living in Hope Mills, North Carolina.
