Publisher's Synopsis
Life sometimes puts a person in a strange situation. Miles Forrest stumbles upon two women who need his help. He agrees to see them to their ranch in western Colorado, only to find that there is more to the move than he counted on. The women are well-off, and Juanita, the daughter owns two Arabian horses that several men have their eye upon. Miles must stay to see them through the harsh winter of the Rocky Mountain high country. Not only is there the snow and severe cold, Miles must also see that they have food through the winter, both for the humans and the animals. Wolves become a problem, and Miles quickly understands that some wolves have two legs.
