Publisher's Synopsis
William Wisemage may not just be an ordinary awkward teen, but he goes through the same discoveries and changes as all young adults.
William likes to think of himself as an explorer, an adventurer, but most of all a troublemaker, especially in the eyes of his mother and the Elders that rule his home of Lockhaven. However, there is not much to explore when you live on a floating island in the sky, unaware of any land besides your own. The only thing left to discover is the strong magic that burns wildly inside of him. Given an opportunity to become an apprentice under a wizard of the prestigious Order of Lockhaven that protects the island, Liam cultivates his magic, training to be a wizard in his missing father's footsteps. Just like his father, Liam grows powerful in his magic but is ever curious, especially of his father's disappearance when Liam was just a young boy. A shocking discovery leads to clues about things beyond the island that confines Liam's curiosity, clues that could lead to his father or the end of the ordinary but pleasant life in Lockhaven that does not satisfy Liam's craving for adventure as he is thrown into a world that is bigger than he could have ever imagined.
