On the heels of a second brutal attack by a man now in jail, CPA and Christmas tree-farm owner Briley Anderson returns to her Oregon home to recover. Instead of relaxation, more anxiety builds when the horse-ranch owner next door, her fiancé Ryker Davis, finds paperwork that casts more questions about the role her father played in the murder of Ryker's father, and also reveals Briley's adoption.
Her world reels as, while planning a wedding, she struggles for a paycheck in a thankless weekday job in Portland needed to open the doors to a new gift shop on their property and aide her farm family. Tension also grows with a female ranch hand, a friend of Ryker's ex-wife, who's making a serious play for him right in front of Briley's nose.
To add to her troubles, Briley's newly discovered uncle refuses to share information with her after the death of her biological mother, and Ryker allegedly assaults the man, ending up in jail.
Can their passionate love survive the past and all of it secrets? Will they master the overwhelming challenges and find their way down the aisle of the magical wedding chapel built on their joint property? Only time will tell.
