Die Vermehrung des bisherigen Bestandes Epikurischer Sprüche lehrt uns aber, dass die Sammlung nicht allein durch die Vati canisehe Redaction bis ins Mittelalter überliefert werden ist. Es gab noch andere und es gab vollständigere Exemplare. Die Ver muthung ist nun nicht mehr so gewagt, dass auch die nur in dem Pariser Gnomologion und bei Maximus (s. Epic. P. LXII) über. Lieferten Sprüche aus der gleichen Quelle, als sie noch voller ?oss, entnommen worden sind.
