The charge of prolixity and tautology may, perhaps with too much propriety, be preferred against the ensuing Dialogues still it ought to be remembered, that in following another writer step by step, which is generally the case in an answer, one is compelled to move under restraint, and therefore the irregularity and obliquities of one's movements must be charged upon the leader, whom, in such a case, we are doomed to follow.
