The July morning started out like any other. We had no way of knowing the turn our day would take, or the call that would forever change our lives. This is my personal journey of the events that happened following that call.
I wasn't prepared to be the caregiver to my daughter as she fought leukemia. There really isn't anything that can prepare you. There is no warning sign to make you aware of the "emotional toil ahead." No words that adequately express the exhaustion you will feel. No way to brace yourself of the fear that comes with each test. There will never be a way to explain the pain that comes at the end of the fight.
