After a good day ends in murder, personal services man, Monk Buttman, is tasked with finding Desiree Marshan, the former porn star, after she aledgedly kills their boss. The question is why him? Why not the cops or a PI? He's a nobody, the guy who is barely seen, much less acknowledged; hardly the type for this kind of work, but power broker Marsyas Durant gives him the job anyway. Stuck between the powerful forces of money, drugs, and revenge, Monk tries to survive both Desiree's fools and those pulling the strings he can feel but can't see.
