When Brian's body was discovered two days later lying next to his car at the end of a deserted dirt road in Southern Louisiana with four gunshot wounds to the back, the police were baffled as nothing at the scene seemed to make sense. Police began to suspect his wife. Robyn, and her best friend, Sissy, when their stories conflicted with the evidence. The defense attorneys and many close the pair could not fathom that the women would do such a thing. Scott and Kathy, Brian's siblings, believed that their sister-in-law was involved from the very beginning.
