This is a poignant story, of loss, hope, courage, faith and healing after my family were tragically killed in an accident. This can only be described as one of the most intense sadness and emotional pain of our lives. The death of a child is an incalculable blow to any parent. There is an African proverb that says it takes a village to raise a child. My mom raised 3 children on her own after my dad died many years ago, when I was just 16 months old. If anyone knows loss my mom would hold that badge. What I have come to realize, is that there is no greater agony than enduring the death of a child and or grandchildren. The death and loss of a child is the ultimate tragedy. In her 15 years of navigating the world as a bereaved parent and grandparent, the ripple effects still linger. Grief is natural in the face of loss but so too is the journey of healing and hope that follows
