Publisher's Synopsis
My name is C.W. Bryant. In the 1980s I travel across the United States as a hobo. I met many homeless people and was amazed to learn each person I met was unique individual in their own distinct way. I met homeless veterans from the Vietnam War. It was during this this phase of my life I met a most remarkable veteran. I believe I became pretty good at distinguishing the truth from a lie when I heard it. I heard this most amazing story from a homeless veteran from the Vietnam War. I befriended him in the summer of 1982 as we traveled across the United States. I heard this story many times, but not once did his story ever differentiate from the first time he told it to me. This may sound a bit surreal, but our name is something most of us take for granted. What if your name is taken away from you and the world believes you are dead? You have no personal identification, no Social Security card or anything to prove you are who you say are. You learn the C.I.A. wants you dead because what happened in Vietnam, a place you were never supposed to be in the first place. You are forced you to go into hiding. You are forever looking over your shoulder, wondering if the next person you see is a paid assassin and you are his target. I invite you to read this exciting new story. If you are a soldier from this war, perhaps you can relate to this soldier's story. Maybe you are one of the countless homeless people I met on my quest to find out more about PFC. Chuck Wilson, the man story is about. Thank you.
