Publisher's Synopsis
In the plague-ridden kingdom of Vyvaan, a grieving father Silas, spurns his gentle son, blind to the dire fate such rejection shall bring. Seeking solace amidst the hoary oaks of accursed Gredwo Forest, the boy crosses paths with the insidious sorcerer Truen who ensnares his trusting soul through honeyed lies and false promises.
At Truen's wicked behest beneath the blood moon's leering eye, profane forces twist the lad's flesh into a hulking, horned nightmare bound to serve the dark caster's bidding. When twisted rumors take root of a ravening beast roaming wild, Silas fears his beloved son is lost forevermore. Determined to find the boy dead or alive, he dares brave the ancient wood alone.
Within the shadowed forest, the blacksmith allies with the mysterious Seraphine and stalwart companions Orin, Gavric and Nyla. Together they pledge to confront the malevolent Truen and redeem the boy from his monstrous fate. Their perilous quest pits the fellowship against Truen's warped minions, the wood's pagan enchantments, and even the tortured lad himself, possessed by an evil that inhabits bone and sinew.
Only by calling upon their courage, loyalty and love for the captive boy can our heroes storm the sorcerer's infernal sanctum and break his profane hold upon the child's soul. So begins an epic claim of corruption, redemption and the enduring strength of hope amidst encroaching darkness. For deep in the heart of Gredwo Forest, an ancient evil stirs, and the very seeds of legend will be sown before this tales end.
