Water Scarcity Solution and AI Based Future Management

It highlights the AI-Based Water Distribution System, a robust solution that can save water and reduce wastage to the maximum extent. By predicting water demand based on a range of factors including region, temperature, seasons, employment status, geo-location, and religion, this system aims to provide an accurate supply of water to every family or community in need. Given this, Decision Tree and LightGBM AI models are the most suitable methods for estimating water demand. The developed system utilizes an Arduino microcontroller, water flow meters, and solenoids to supply water in the quantities needed as predicted, hence reducing wastage. The system's effectiveness is assessed based on the time it took to train the models, the accuracy of the forecasts, sensitivity to outliers, and modularity. It also implies that the practice is expandable from households to a larger area or regional level and can provide a sustainable solution to water deficits.
