Walter and William of Wray

In "Walter and William of Wray," I embarked on a heartfelt journey to explore the lives of my grandfathers, both talented carpenters who shaped not just wood, but also the essence of the town they helped build. Their stories are more than just family history; they are a testament to the diverse gifts God bestows upon each of us, crafted uniquely for His purpose.

This book isn't about disproving that success hinges on formal education, but rather about recognizing the incredible variety and importance of talents each of us possess. I began with Walter and William, sharing what I feel were their divine gifts. Then I was inspired to include other individuals whose lives made an impact on our world. I had no timeline in mind --simply a collection of stories inspired by well-known people I admire.

Nestled in the backdrop of Wray. Colorado, a small town where I spent cherished summers with family. I'll introduce you to Walter and Alda Shroyer and William and Sophie Heindel, those grandparents who were early citizens and respected by the community. Through the lives of each person included in this book, I hoped to shine a light on the blessings that come from embracing our unique gifts. I wrote this book not only to honor my grandfathers but to celebrate the variety of talents and abilities that enrich the lives of the people around us.

I hope it will help us celebrate the differences in the gifts our Creator gave each of us when we think of how impossible our world would be if we were all alike!
