Publisher's Synopsis

Wallowing in the Gray is a study in racial differences as well as gender differences. The novel puts a Black college student in the same dorm room with a white student who has never had any experience with anybody who is not white. Bobby DeWolff teaches Peter Collins what it is like being Black in America. There is an awakening and the two become very close friends. After college they drift apart. Peter returns to his sheltered life and Bobby goes on to achieve great acclaim and fortune. They do not cross paths for forty years and when they finally do we witness one of them supporting the reputation of the other at the risk of ruining his own.
