This study aims to present the evolution of women's participation in the labour market, the gradual occupation in leadership positions. In the last years organizations have revised their posture, as to their vision and strategic action and as a result they are opening space for the female presence in leadership positions. This study also addresses the barriers that women face to prove their capacity, quality and flexibility, besides bringing real situations that some women have lived until they reached leadership.
