It is viewed that science and philosophy are intertwined because science seems to offer
answers to some of the fundamental questions in philosophy, which in some way has
caused the collapse of the disciplinary boundaries that have been existing between them.
The most fruitful philosophical investigations had often been made in close connection
with science and scientific evidence. The modern innovators in philosophy like Francis
Bacon, Rene Descartes, Gottfried Wilhelm Leibnitz and John Locke, to name a few
among them, were all centrally influenced by, and in some cases significantly contributed
to the science of their day
