Publisher's Synopsis
The Visual Models Guide for K-5 Mathematics is a resource for elementary educators that lays out six different strands of visual models for k-5 math. The models are each aligned to a specific common core standard, and are organized in two ways. First, the visual models are arranged by strand, allowing educators to follow the development of the model across grades. Second the visual models are arranged by grade, allowing educators to see how the different models are used in a particular grade. The visualization of the math helps students build conceptual understanding, and the variety of visualizations allow educators to differentiate their instruction.
