Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Visions and Service: Fourteen Discourses Delivered in College Chapels
There was war between Syria and Israel. The king of Syria had attempted to surprise the camp of the Israelites several times, but on each occasion the army of Israel had been forewarned and had escaped.
The Syrian king suspected those in his own camp of treachery. Upon call ing his men about him, however, and asking for the traitor, he was told that the spy was not among his followers. But, said they, Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the King of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bed-chamber.
