In book one we learned the Sanskrit vowels (svarah) and in book two we learned the consonants (vyanjañam). You will need to purchase books one and two for to complete the series. In BOOK THREE - we will will complete our elementary understanding of phonemes by learning dependant vowels (gunitakṣaram), half syllables (ardhakṣaram) and compound consonants (samyuktakṣaram). All three concepts are explicitly taught through pictures and excercises. This book completes the varnamala introduced in books one and two by introducing the final group compound consonants (क्ष kṣa त्र tra ज्ञ jña). Book Three also teaches you to break down, read and form compound consonants on your own. This book is full of exercises/worksheets and opportunities to practice what you have learned in all three books. It is visual, colourful and engaging, bringing the ancient language of Sanskrit alive for learners of all ages and stages.
