Andre and Frances, centuries old undead, are draining victims all over the City of Philadelphia. ADA Gwen Irving and the police cannot believe it is the work of vampires, but Avi Asher knows better. Avi along with the human vampire Edvard form a league of postulates to hunt them down, stake them, and turn them into dust. From the undead to the human vampires to the postulates none may break the code of 'never taking the blood of an unwilling victim', to do so is to forfeit their immortality.
