Publisher's Synopsis
Text in German. "Prehistory and Roman times in Styria" is about thousands of years - and sometimes tens of thousands - of the interaction between man and nature in today's Styria. The book edited by Bernhard Hebert is the result of many years of teamwork: Experts, especially from the younger generation of researchers, have compiled and evaluated all tangible findings in archeology and related disciplines. In this way, a new view of the first millennia (tens of thousands) of Styria has emerged, which has been expanded and updated again in this second edition. Fundamental questions are asked of the archaeological sources: Which innovations occurred and when? What resources were used? What was the settlement, population and social structure like? In addition, the most important sites and finds are presented, also in plans and pictures.
