Publisher's Synopsis
Aurora was a rumored mid-1980s American reconnaissance aircraft. There is no substantial evidence that it was ever built or flown and it has been termed a myth. The U.S. government has consistently denied such an aircraft was ever built.
This work began as an investigation of the UFO phenomena of the 1950s. Flying objects with strange lighting were traveling at tremendous speeds, making right-angle turns, and disappearing completely. The investigation into these events turned into a real detective story of deduction, induction, intuition, and clandestine research. Indeed, these were unidentified flying objects to the public, but they were known to the U.S. military and kept under the strictest veils of secrecy.
