Publisher's Synopsis
The two moods expressed in this quartet offer contrast, are complimentary to each other, and are technically well adapted to the characteristic qualities of the clarinet. Meditation is a song without words; very lyrical and expressive. Whimsical Dance is a change of mood to one of capriciousness, with its many changes of tempo, dynamics and tonality. While not overy demanding technically, this short work calls for a great deal of musical sensitivity, making it an ideal selection a recital or contest.
