Excerpt from Twenty-Seventh Annual Report of the State Board of Assessors of the State of New Jersey for the Year 1910
Railroads and Canals: In the assessment for the year 1911 of property used for railroad and canal purposes, there have been found one hundred and twenty-eight railroad corporations and one canal company subject to taxation under the Act; the particulars and details of which assessments are fully set forth in Schedule A of the appendix to this report; which schedule also gives in detail the items of Second Class railroad and canal property and the tax levied thereon at the following local rates of each municipality wherein such property is located.
