In accordance with custom, your President begs leave to present his annual report, and it is a matter of great regret that a more favorable one cannot be made; still it would be unreasonable to expect that this Institution should escape sharing some of the effects of the financial troubles which have surrounded us. During the past two years all have keenly felt the necessity of economizing, making our efforts futile to increase to any extent, our income.
