Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Twenty-Fifth Annual Review of the Saginaw Courier: Showing the Lumber, Shingle and Salt Product in Detail of the Saginaw Valley; Commercial and Manufacturing Interests, and General Trade Results for 1888
In presenting the work to the public, it is admitted that some delay has resulted, as is always the case in a work of this character, owing to the difficulty in obtaining the necessary information as promptly as desired. In many instances business firms and corporations are unwilling to furnish figures until after the close of the year.
The public is assured that the aim has been to carefully embody in these pages the public spirit, progress and development of the material resources of the section under review. No enterprise of importance, either corporate or personal, affecting the trade relations of the Valley with other localities, has been willingly omitted; and it is believed none have been.
