Excerpt from Twentieth Annual Report of the Boston Transit Commission, for the Year Ending June 30, 1914
The work opposite the Old South Church was successfully completed without any disturbance of the tower of the church, which has for a long time considerably de?ected from the perpendicular. The plan outlined in the last annual report was followed and, if anything, the tower and its foundations are in more stable condition than before the work was begun.
