Just like Santa and his elves are not what Christmas is all about, bunnies and eggs are not what Easter is all about either. After the Lord's help in writing the biblical story of "'Twas the Night Before Christmas: Jesus' Story," I asked the Lord to help me write a similar story for Easter.
As we read in the Bible from the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, we see that again, Christ is the reason for such a celebration at Easter time. So here is, "'Twas the Week Before Easter: The Promise Fulfilled." It is the TRUE story about Jesus' death and resurrection found in the Bible. As a Sunday School Teacher for many years, I am always searching for ways to make the Bible real for children. I was trying to find books for my class that had the true biblical story, without "extras" added or little things changed. I found that it was very hard to find books with fun, colorful pictures, easy to understand, and biblically true. This book, and the others I have written, come straight from the Bible and catch the children's (and adults') attention to the true stories!
