The remaining nine chapters forming the second part deal with applied problems in alluvial streams such as sampling, stable channel design, aggradation, degradation, plan–form variation, river training, sediment control, sediment transport through pipes, etc. The book takes a balanced view of theory and practice and will, therefore, be invaluable to researchers, planners and designers.
