In dem "heft 5 der Behring'schen Beitrage zur experimentellen Therapie ist bereits eine grössere Zahl von Tuberkelhacillenstämmen in ähnlicher Weise tabellarisch ihrer Herkunft nach zusammengestellt. Die damals aus 28 verschiedenen Kulturen bestehende Sammlung ist inzwischen durch N euzüchtung weiterer Modifikationen der vorhandenen Stammkulturen aut 45 Stämme angewachsen. Insbesondere hat sich die Zahl der ursprünglich vom Huhn stammenden Tuberkelbacillen stämme durch zahlreiche Tierpassagen erheblich vergrössert.
