Council has the pleasing part of congratula the its continued an progressive success. We rically and financially the condition of the Society is sound, and its ordinary work has been carried on with great activity. We now number 464 members, of whom 336 are resident and 113 non-resident members, 3 honorary members, and 12 foreign honorary members. Seventeen resident and 5 non resident members have been elected during the past year. Eight have resigned, and death has deprived the Society of six members and one foreign member. The deaths have to deplore are those of Dr. Carrin n, a member of Council at the time of his death, Dr. W' n Fox, a former vice resident, Dr. Meadows, and Dr. De Castro. Sir Burrows, an honorary member, has quite recently died, an the foreign member removed b death from our roll is the illustrious German surgeon von angenbeck.
