AS regards our own domestic concerns, the recent practice of issuing to members an annual report from the council and a statement of accounts in which the year's proceedings are brie?y summed up, obviates the necessity for my detaining you with any simple record of events. It is, however, well that your attention should be drawn to some general points, which, besides being Of particular importance, may perhaps serve to indicate the direction in which the in?uence and value of the society may be extended.
