Clarendon House, the seat of Felton Harvey, B. Is pleasantly situated at the distance of a mi e from the ruins of the palace.
Clarendon was the occasional residence of several of our kings, from John to Edward III. Inclusive, and Roger de Clarendon, an illegitimate son of Edward the Black Prince, was born here. It also gave the title of Earl to the famous Edward Hyde, who was born at Dinton, in this county, in the 1608, and whose' two grand-daughters sat' upon the English throne.
